We tested 31 versions with 60 seniors across four cities. The right answer was less, not more.

    I'm okay. Call family. SOS. Everything else is in service of those three.
  • Type they can read.
    20pt minimum. High contrast. No icons that need decoding.
  • Their language.
    Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Bengali, Marathi, Kannada — voice and text.
  • No passwords.
    Device-bound. Loss-of-device routes to family via a single phone call.
  • Print backup.
    A laminated cheat-sheet stays on the fridge. The system respects offline life.
